Event Information: 6 round Swiss, one section, open to 4 player teams. Team average (4 highest ratings,  Jan 2021 Rating List) must be under 2200. Higher of regular rating and online regular rating will be used.

Time Control: Game/60 +10 inc.

Rounds:  All times are CST (Chicago Time). Saturday 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm; Sunday 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm

Entry Fees: $160 per team if received USPS or online by 2/1 at 10pm CST, $180 if received USPS or online by 2/15 at 10pm CST, $200 online until 2/19 at 6pm CST, when entries close.

Individuals wishing to play send $50 received by USPS or online by 2/15 at 10pm CST, $60 by 2/19 at 6pm CST, and request to be put on a team. Note: we can guarantee you will play, but can’t guarantee which board you will play, or the ratings of your team).

Team changes after 6pm CST on February 19: $20 until 8:30 am on 2/20

Winning team qualifies for national playoffs. Prizes to:

• Top teams u1900, u1600, u1300, u1000
• Top college team
• Top high school team
• Top junior team (HS and under)
• Top K-8 team
• Top mixed doubles team (2 men and 2 women)
• Top senior team (all 50 or over)
• Top female team (all women or girls)
• Top individual score each board

• Best team name
• Best costume or theme
• Best streamer (must be a non-player)

PLAYING CONDITIONS:

• Games will be played online at chess.com
• Complete instructions for online play will be emailed to team contact’s email address supplied at registration.
• All players must use Zoom video monitoring at all times during their games. Side view showing player, computer, and area is preferred.
• A Zoom practice session will be held on 2/18/21 at 6pm CST
• Players must be logged in to Chess.com and Zoom 10 minutes before the beginning of each round.
• Prizes will be sent by email to the team contact’s email address listed at registration.
• Prizes will be sent approximately two weeks after tournament ends to allow for fair play review of results.
