We cordially invite everyone to our Chesterfield SUNDAY SWISS G90 tournament! USCF-rated. Notation is mandatory.

Format: 2 sections: 

  • Above 1800 Section
  • Under 1800 Section
  • 3 rounds, Swiss style. One 1/2-point bye permitted for any round if declared prior to round 1. 
  • TD reserves the right to adjust section break or provide wild-card entry. Maximum capacity is 56 players & we reserve rights to cap the entry at max. 

Time control: G/90; +10 second increment

Schedule:

  • Both SECTIONs (Round one starts at 10AM, followed by 2nd round at 1:30 PM, 3rd round as soon as possible)

Entry Fees: 

  • Early Bird Registration till 9/14/24: $25 
  • Regular registration (between 9/15/24 & 9/21/24): $30 
  • Late entry (day of tournament) 9/22/24: $35

Prizes: 

  • Both SECTIONS: First Place $75 and Second Prize $25 (Based on 20 total confirmed entries).

Directions:

  • Parking: Recommended in front of the UPS STORE or SEOUL TACO.
  • Entrance: Ground floor through main big glass doors.
  • SIGNS: Look for the Chess Cardinals banner.
  • Restrooms: Ground floor near emergency EXIT. Separate for MEN/WOMEN. You would need keys. Please look for “RESTROOM KEYS” sign on the wall near office door to locate these keys.

By RSVPing and registering to the Chess Cardinals tournaments, participants, caregivers & parents grant full permission to Chess Cardinals to use photographs, video- and/or audio-recordings of them, and/or their children, taken during Chess Cardinals events in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of Chess Cardinals. Chess Cardinals will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence. No registrants and/or participants are entitled to compensation for their appearance in such materials. All registrants and participants release and discharge Chess Cardinals from all liability, losses, and damages for libel, slander, invasion of privacy or any other claim arising out of or relating to the use of videotapes, recordings and/or photographs.
