US Chess Membership is Required. This event is only open to female players. For eligibility, a player’s USCF record should list “F” under Gender. Please see the relevant US Chess policy regarding this aspect of a membership record if there are any concerns.
Players younger than high school age (~14) must be accompanied by an adult.
One Section - USCF Rated
4 Rounds SS; G/50+10 (Clocks will be set with 50 minutes per player, and a 10 second increment that adds back after each move). Accelerated pairings may be used at tournament director discretion.

KY residents or those enrolled in a Kentucky School (K12 or postsecondary): Free entry if you register online before 4/1/2025, $10 after and onsite.
Out-of-state women: $10 before 4/1/2025, $20 after and onsite

This tournament will serve to determine the Kentucky Representative to the 13th Annual WIM Ruth Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions. This will be the top K-12 player whose state designation is Kentucky.
This is also a qualifying event for the 2025 Kentucky Women’s Closed Championship. The top Kentucky player who has not already qualified will receive an invitation to this event. More information can be found here: 2025 Closed Path.
Unrated players: In lieu of a published regular rating, the tournament director reserves the right to use live regular or quick USCF ratings for pairing and prize eligibility purposes. For this event, unrated players are eligible for 1st, 2nd, and Top U1201 prizes.
Onsite Registration and Check-In: 9:00am-9:45am
Round 1: 10:00am

Awards: ASAP after Round 4
Players must check in before 9:45am or otherwise contact the Chief Tournament Director to ensure they are paired for Round 1.
Players arriving after registration will receive one half-point bye and will be paired in subsequent rounds. Half-point byes may be requested for any round during registration only (1 max).
Boards and Pieces will be provided. Please bring clocks.
