Event Overview

Help raise money for chess in the Kansas CIty area. Proceeds go to offset the cost of our free tournaments.

**Limited to the first 80 registrations

Entry Fee: Regular: $35 in advance, $40 at the door Amateur: $15, $20 at the door, not eligible for prizes

Payment: Cash / Check / Paypal / Venmo Registration: Early registration ends midnight 9/7/2024 On-site registration opens at 9am. Players who have registered in advance do not need to arrive early.

First round begins at 9:30 Rounds begin 15 minutes after the previous round ends with a break for lunch.

Format: Two sections: Open - Quads, G60;d5, 3 rounds Reserve - 1200 and below, Swiss pairing, G30;d5, 4 rounds ** If there is enough interest, we will have a quad of G90d5 playing two games. Please let us know in advance.

Must be USCF rated above 1400. Quads: Score 3 points, $65, Score 2 points $35 Under 1200 Swiss: 1st place $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25 based on 15 Swiss attendees.
