Sections/Format: USCF MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED FOR ALL SECTIONS.Open(all ages), U1600(all ages), U1000(Scholastic only). Must be at least 1400 USCF to play in Open Section( will use peak rating, contact td for signup instructions if currently under 1400). No unrateds in Open Section. Format for Open/U1600: 5 rounds, Swiss System. All games US Chess rated. Two half point byes by request prior to start of round 2. Format for Scholastic(K-12) U1000 section: 4 rounds, Swiss System. All games US Chess rated. One half point bye by request prior to start of round 2.

Entry Fees: Open/U1600- $50 through 06/26/2024. $60 afterwards.U1000 Scholastic- $30 through 06/26/2024. $35 afterwards. Onsite registration closes at 9:30. No refunds after Round 1 begins. Refunds prior to Round 1 will be refunded minus non-refundable service charges that we incur(usually a few dollars).
Schedule/Time Controls: Time Controls for all games- G/35;d5. Round times for Open/U1600- 10:00, 11:30, 1:45,3:15,4:45. Round times for U1000 Scholastic- 10:00, 11:30, 1:45, 3:15.
Prizes: Open Section(1st-3rd)- $400,$200,$100
U1600 Section(1st-3rd)-$300,$125,$75- Prizes in Open/U1600 based on 30 combined paid entries. Brightpoint Community College students play free.
U1000 Scholastic- Trophies to Top 5, Medals to players with even score
