2024 Milwaukee Open

Location: UWM Student Union, 2200 E Kenwood Bvld, Milwaukee, WI 53211. Playing all is the Union Ballroom (W195)

Format: Four Round G/60d5 Swiss Tournament

Round Times: 10 AM, 1 PM, 3:30 PM, 6 PM | 1 Half Point Bye Allowed, Unlimited 0 Point Byes Allowed

Sections: Open, U1500 Reserve, U1000 Novice

Entry Fees: $15 for current university students, $30 by August 14, $45 regular, $60 on-site, $10 play-up fee assessed for lower-rated players entering stronger sections

Prizes: $1000 Prize Fund based on 80 entries (ties will mean prizes are split under USCF rules)

• $60 to Top U1800/Unrated in Open
• $125 to U1500 1^st Place
• $75 to U1500 2^nd Place

• $100 to U1000 1^st Place
• $50 to U1000 2^nd Place
• $30 to U1000 3^rd Place
• $20 to Top U600/Unrated in U1000 Novice

Entries: Registration is done on KingRegistration

Refunds: Contact tournament organizer at least one day before the event. Entry fees less KingRegistration processing fees will be guaranteed refunded

All minors attending must be accompanied by a supervising adult: a parent, a guardian, or a coach authorized by the minor’s school to supervise the minor. The supervising adult must remain with the minor at all times during the event, per UWM policy on Minor Protection & Adult Leadership.

UWM Union restaurants may be open on Saturday 9/14. Restaurants are located within walking distance on Oakland Avenue!

This is a Wisconsin Tour event!

Top board in the Open will be livestreamed with the Chess Club at UWM's DGT board!
