2024 Albuquerque All-Girls Scholastic City Championship

Sections:

• All-Girls Scholastic Championship: USCF Rated, 5-Round Swiss, g/30d5, (Eligible players must be in grade school)
  • Entry Fee: $10 by November 15th at 11:59pm, $20 on-site
• All-Girls Unrated Rising Stars: Unrated, 5-Round Swiss, g/30d5, (Eligible players must be in grade school)
  • Entry Fee: FREE

 

Prizes:

• All-Girls Scholastic: Medal for top overall girl.
  • Medals to top 3 girls in High School(9-12), Middle School(6-8), Elementary School(K-5), and Elementary(K-3).
• All-Girls Unrated: Top 3 girls win medals and top overall girl will also win a US Chess Junior Membership for 1 year

 

Schedule:

 November 16th -

• Check-In: 9am-9:45am
• Round 1: 10am, later rounds will start within 15 minutes of previous round completion

 

Special Notes:

Tiebreaks: In event of tie for City Championship, tied players will play g/5+3 blitz playoff games until a winner is determined.

Byes: Up to 2 optional half-point byes may be requested BEFORE round 1. All byes requested during the event are zero points.

Spectators: No spectators are allowed in playing areas when the games have begun for the day. A designated spectator area will be available.

Electronic Devices: Electronic devices are not allowed on any player’s person during their matches. This includes smart phones, smart watches, and other devices that may connect to the Internet. Failure to follow this rule will result in forfeiture of your match. ChessNoteR6 and ChessNoteR9 are allowed for electronic notation.
