A fun fall event for K-12 players. Will be held concurrently with the Cleveland Open, a tournament open to all ages.

These are officially rated US Chess tournaments organized by the Mississippi Chess Association and run in coordination with the host site. US Chess membership is required and student membership is available at uschess.org. Out of state players are welcome.
Entry Fee: $20 by 8 PM day 11/15, $30 after.
All chess equipment will be provided.
All players are required to take manual notation using scoresheets provided by the tournament director.
The Swiss System tournament is divided into 4 Sections: K-3, K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
Schedule: 4 Rounds no elimination. All rounds will be played 30 minutes for each player with a 15 second increment.
Round Times: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:15 PM, may accelerate as possible. Players will be allowed a minimum 10 minute rest break between rounds.
Awards Ceremony to follow last round. Plaques or trophies will be given for the top 3 finishers in each section.
One half-point bye only is available and must be requested before the start of the tournament. No half-point byes available for round 4.
