A State Championship Event!

Jan 20th 2024 Iowa Girls Championship

4-SS Paired  Players must be a girl and go to school in Iowa.  G/60, D5,  

Where:  Christ the King Church,  325 Mormon Trek Blvd,  Iowa City, Iowa 52246

Reg: 8:00 to 8:30 am. On-line registration at https://www.kingregistration.com

Rounds: 9am - 11:30 pm – 2:00pm – 5:00 pm

If less than 8 players TD will reduce that section to 3 rounds.  

Entry Fee: $25 online until Jan 19th $30 Thereafter  

Prize Info:  Trophies 1st thru 3rd place U1000. U800, U600, U400,  and Unrated.1st place and the right to represent Iowa if a National Girls Tournament of Champions to be held at the US Open in Norfolk, Virginia on  27 July - 30 July 2024

US Chess Federation (USCF) membership required. On Site Available.

Additional Info: if tournament ends in a tie. A playoff will be played, each player will play both colors,  G5 d2 until a winner is determined.
