PLAYING SITE: Country Inn & Suites at 1250 S. Moorland Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005; 262-782-1400. Chess Rate of $109; please call hotel and mention chess rate.

 

FORMAT: three sections (Open, U1901, and U1501). Each section is a 4-Round Swiss. Current US Chess Membership is required. Organizers reserve the right to choose the highest of the published ratings (Regular, Rapid, Online Regular, Online Rapid) for the purpose of section selection, pairings, and prizes. Only regular ratings are affected by this event. Time control is G/90+30 (90 minutes for the whole game with a 30-second increment per move). Notation is mandatory for the entire game. Accelerated pairings might be used. WCA (Wisconsin Chess Association) tour event.

 

ROUNDS: Saturday: 10:00 am, 3:30 pm, Sunday: 10:00 am, 3:30 pm

 

BYES: up to two 1/2-point byes are available; must commit before round one. Please email organizers.

 

PRIZES ($3,000 Guaranteed): 

Open: $500-$300-$200, top u2101 $200 U1901: $400-$300-$200 U1501: $400-$300-$200

 

ENTRY FEE: Early Bird Special EF is $95 if entered by September 25th. Regular EF is $105 if entered by October 9th. Late EF is $120 if entered after October 9th. Online registration ends at 8:00am on October 14th; anyone entering afterwards may be assigned a 1/2-point bye for the first round. Refunds: $10 processing fee. 

 

EQUIPMENT: uniform equipment (boards, sets, clocks) is provided and should be used
