Format: 5-round Swiss System Time Control: G/90 + 30 sec increment

Three Sections: Premier (USCF 2000+), U2000 (USCF 1400-1999), U1400 (USCF Unrated-1399)
                            Players rated USCF 1900-1999 may play up in the Premier section for an additional $25.
                            Players rated USCF 1300-1399 may play up into the U2000 section for an additional $15.

Important:

• USCF regular ratings apply for all sections. Top two sections are also FIDE rated.
• USCF membership required (may be purchased or renewed at registration or on site)
• April 2023 US Chess ratings will be used for section eligibility, pairings, and prize eligibility.
  Other ratings may be used if higher. The decision of the Chief Tournament Director regarding
  eligibility, rating adjustments, conversions, unofficial ratings, or other rating issues is final.
• A maximum of two half-point byes are available. Half-point byes must be requested no later
  than 30 minutes before the round starts. Round 4 and Round 5 half-point byes must be requested
  before the start of Round 3 and may not be canceled after Round 3 starts.
• Boards, sets, AND clocks will be provided for tournament play.

 

Prizes: Total Prize Fund $2800 based on 100 paid entries.
    Open Section (FIDE Rated): $900/$450/$225, Top U2200: $100
    U2000 Section (FIDE Rated): $600/$300/$150, Top U1600: $75
    U1400 Section: 1st: Trophy + 1yr Diamond Membership to Chess.com
                              2nd: Trophy + 6mo Diamond Membership to Chess.com
                              3rd: Trophy + 3mo Diamond Membership to Chess.com
                              Top Under 1000: Trophy + 3mo Diamond Membership to Chess.com
    In cases of ties, trophies will be awarded using tie-breaks. Chess.com membership prizes
    will be divided by the number of tied players (rounded up to a full month) and shared equally.

Entry Fees: Open Section (FIDE Rated): $90 through Apr 14, $100 through Apr 27, $125 on site.
                     U2000 Section (FIDE Rated): $75 through Apr 14, $85 through Apr 27, $110 on site.
                     U1400 Section: $60 through Apr 14, $70 through Apr 27, $95 on site.
