LOCATION:

Tucson Woman’s Club, 6245 E. Bellevue Street, Tucson, AZ 85712.

DESCRIPTION:

Open to all ages and all skill levels!

Sectional by Rating.

4-round Swiss tournament in 12-16 player groups based on rating.

Ratings based on September Supplement.

US Chess membership is required for all sections.

Annual membership is available on uschess.org.

PRIZES:

Prizes awarded to EACH section:

1st: $120

2nd: $80

3rd: $50

Participation medal for all!

Time control: G/45;d5.

REGISTRATION:

Tournament registration is online at: https://www.kingregistration.com/event/2022SeptSectional

Online registration closes Friday, 9/16 at 7 pm.

Onsite registration: Saturday 8 am – 8:30 am.

Registrations after 8:30am may receive a ½ point bye for round 1 and be paired for round 2.

ENTRY FEES:

$30 if received by Tues. 9/6. $35 if after 9/6; or $40 at the site.

SCHEDULE:

9am, 11am, 1pm, 2:45pm.

Please arrive by 8:45 am for pairings and announcements.

Byes: ½ point byes are available for all rounds if requested prior to start of round two.

EQUIPMENT:

Bring chess sets and clocks; none provided.
