Minnesota International Blitz Championship

$800 Guaranteed Prize Fund

PLEASE NOTE: registration closes at 7:30pm. Anyone entering after 7:30pm will not be paired for Round 1 and will receive a bye. 

 

Playing Site: Embassy Suites Bloomington (2800 American Blvd West, Bloomington, MN 55431; 952-967-8700). 

Equipment: boards, sets and clocks are provided.

Schedule: First round is at 8:00pm on 8/20, subsequent rounds are ASAP.

Time Control: 10 games total. 5-Round Swiss with G/3+2 time control (2 games against the same opponent per round).

Prizes: $200-$100 and $500 in class prizes (4-8 players per class; classes will be created during round 2). US Chess Regular Ratings will be used for pairings and class prizes (but will not be affected). FIDE and USCF Blitz rated. FIDE Blitz rules apply.

Entry Fee: GM's, WGM's, IM's free; others $40. PLEASE NOTE: registration closes at 7:30pm. Anyone entering after 7:30 pm will not be paired for Round 1 and will receive a bye.
