$1000 AUGUST HOTLANTA NORTH GEORGIA  CHESS Championship Based on 40 entries! $1000 Total Prize Fund! 

USCF rted, unrateds welcome, but you must be a USCF member to participate

WHEN :  AUGUST 31st  09:00 a.m CHECK IN TIME.

WHERE : CHESSTRONICS -  1675 PEACHTREE PARKWAY SUITE#180, CUMMING GA - 30041

FORMAT 4 round Swiss, G/40, Inc 5;  4 Rounds. 

1 day schedule:  Round 1 - 09:30am, Round 2 : 11:00 a.m. Pizza Break Round 3 -1:15 p.m. Round 4 - 3.00 p.m. 

ENTRY FEE:  $35.00.  After Aug 29th 11.59 p.m. , $40.00, ON SiTE before 9.15 a.m. $45.00 

2 SECTIONS: Championship  (1800 and up) ; RESERVED (1000 to 1799)

3. SCHOLASTIC SECTION  (U1200)  (600 and 1199)  

TOTAL PRIZE FUND $1,000 (Based on 40 entries) 

Prizes: 80% of the non-scholastic entry fees will be given back as prizes, with that prize pool split as follows:

Open 1st place: 30%
Open 2nd place: 20%
Open top U1800: 15% (must have at least 3 eligible players, or this 15% will be re-distributed to 1st & 2nd place prizes)
 
Reserve 1st place: 20%
Reserve 2nd place: 15%


Scholastic : Top 2 trophies! 

 

PLAYING UP: If you are rated U1800 but are at least 1600 you may play up into the Championship section for $10. 

 

CANCELLATION:  You may cancel up to 24 hours before the beginning of round 1 and get a refund of what you paid minus $10, or you may apply the entire amount towards a future entry fee.

 

BYES: One ½ point bye available, must be declared before the beginning of round 2.  No last round byes except for zero point byes.

CHESSTRONICS ACADEMY:   Chesstronics, Cumming GA only ‘brick and mortar’ chess venue is dedicated to providing a quality, high tech, chess playing experience for players of all levels, and their parents.  Centrally and conveniently located at 1675 Peachtree Parkway Suite#180, Cumming GA - 30041   Just inside 400 North Exit 13 and 141 South 2 miles. The Venue  VINE COMMUNITY CHURCH is located Exit 13,  Bethelview Road.    Plenty of FREE parking.

 

SCANNING  All players are subject to being scanned (“wanded”) Phone Turned off  in order to help prevent cheating.
